Vidya Balan has been travelling to various cities across India promoting her upcoming film Bobby Jasoos.
One of the cities on her long list was Baroda which Vidya was really eager to visit. There is a tea stall in Baroda where our Prime Minister Narendra Modi had done ‘Chai pe Charcha’ and Vidya wanted to visit the tea stall.
In an earlier interview as well, the actress had expressed her wish to visit the tea stall there.
Vidya wanted to pay a tribute to the Prime Minister and so she decided to visit the tea stall in the disguise of Narendra Modi.
Vidya was very excited and she reached Baroda early today to get ready. But much to her disappointment, the authorities told Vidya not to get into the get up of Narendra Modi to visit the tea stall as there would be law and order issues.
There were thousands of people waiting outside the tea stall to witness Vidya Balan in the disguise. But the authorities of Baroda wanted to avoid any circumstances there.
Honouring the request of the authorities, Vidya agreed to them but the team did not understand why they were refused to do this, when during elections masks of Narendra Modi were distributed all over.
Vidya reached the tiny lane where the tea stall is situated but her car could not enter as the entire lane was blocked by fans. There was no space for her to move ahead.
She did not get out of her car as there would be utter chaos so she returned to her hotel where she addressed the media.
Vidya was very disappointed as she had been looking forward to this. But she listened to the authorities in order to maintain the city’s law and order.
The actress has been promoting her film in various disguises that have created a huge buzz. The film is about Bobby who wants to become the number one detective in Hyderabad. Bobby Jasoos has received a great response before its release on July 4th.
