To help you make your decisions, here is a little about the Top 12 contestants on ‘India’s Best Dramebaaz’.

Aditya Singhal – This serious actor from Pune is all of 12 years old but his acting makes him seem much more mature for his age. Though he began his stint on the show with more comic performances, his recent stints as Lord Ram and Maharana Pratap have marked him as a heavy-duty actor.

Anjali Astha – This 10 year old from Mohali first came to the judges’ attention as the possessed ‘Chandramukhi’ with her dance-theatre based act during the auditions. Throughout the season though she has played older roles, Anjali’s playfulness often comes out between takes.

Avni Gupta – It is hard to find fault with this adorable seven year old from Dehradun. For weeks, she has impressed the judges with her vast range of expressions, emotions and drama which not many actors of her age portray with ease.

Chinmay Deshkar – 12 year old Chinmay Deshkar from Nagpur is an excellent actor and dancer although his mischievous side gets the better of him at times. His uncanny impressions of other Bollywood actors has left the judges and audience in splits of laughter.

Gracy Goswami– This pretty 7 year old from Ahmedabad, lives up to her name and has managed to charm her way into the hearts of viewers with her demure acting and graceful dancing that leaves viewers with a smile when they watch her onscreen.

Honey Khilwani – One of the most versatile actors on the show, at 10 years of age, Honey has taken on a variety of roles and acted them out with aplomb. While theatrics are in her blood, Honey sees herself becoming an accomplished actress in the years to come and has already taken classes in anchoring and dancing to help her achieve her goal.

Mehnaaz Mann – Just 8 years old, Mehnaaz Mann is a veritable powerhouse of talent who was first noticed at the auditions with her moving act about the Jallianwala baug massacre. Being in front of an audience doesn’t faze Mehnaaz who has already performed onstage with her mother who is a theatre actress. She too dreams of becoming an actress when she grows up.

Nihar GIte – 6 year old Nihar GIte is the cutest li’l kid that you will find. And this has won him brownie points with his co-contestants, judges and the audience alike. But don’t let his tiny frame fool you. Nihar’s narrative skills and the ease with which he remembers everything from Sanskrit shloks or patriotic speeches leaves the audience and judges alike absolutely spellbound!

Praneet Sharma – 5 year old Praneet Sharma has an uncanny way of making people like him. Whether it is his impression of Shakti Kapoor’s ‘Aao Lalita’ or his ‘Chota Sa Nanha Sa Bacha’, Praneet leaves the judges and viewers wanting to pinch his cheeks! Though he loves eating, Praneet is mostly lost in his own world. He has his own take on the world around him and answers questions with the most random answers. That’s life according to Praneet for you!

Sayuri Haralkar – At 12 years old, one cannot discount Sayuri’s acting skills. Though she isn’t as forthcoming or outgoing as the rest, Sayuri  has a natural flair for drama and this comes across clearly in all her performances.

Tejasvini Deshmukh – Soft spoken and shy, 9 year old Tejasvini first came to light at her auditions in Mumbai where she played the character of ‘Jhilmil’ from ‘Barfi’. Director of the film and judge Anurag Basu was so impressed with this little actress that he compared her performance to that of Priyanka Chopra’s one in the film and acclaimed that she gave a better performance.

(Will your favourite dramebaaz kids be promoted to the next class to be part of the Top 6? Your vote could make a difference! Stay tuned to fun-filled episodes of ‘India’s Best Dramebaaz’ every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM, only on Zee TV.)  vivek
