Rajkumar Hirani’s Aamir Khan starrer, PK collects Rs.182.58 crore in it’s first week in India, making it the highest week 1 collection.
The film opened at Rs.26.63 crore on a working Friday and Saturday saw an upward growth of Rs.30.34 crore. Sunday made a record breaking Rs.38.44 cr. The first weekend saw the highest rate of growth for any big Indian cinema film.
Monday's collection was Rs.21.22 crore, Tuesday was Rs. 18.85 crore and Wednesday’s collection was Rs.19.55 crore.
PK collected Rs. 27.55 crore on Thursday, making it the highest Christmas day collection for any movie.
PK set quite a few records in Hindi cinema; Highest non Holiday Monday collection for any Film (21.22 crore), Highest day 7 collection ever for any film. (27.55 crore), Highest Christmas Holiday collection ever and the Highest Opening Week for any Hindi Film- 182.58 crore.
The film has been loved and appreciated from audiences across the globe.
