Zee Classic, India’s first classic Hindi movie channel has just launched season 3 of popular show – Classic Legends. Host of the show and a living legend himself, JavedAkhtar will give viewers the chance to sneak a peek into the lives of legendary personalities of the Indian film industry. With Episode 2 all set to air this Sunday, November 9th, Sanjeev Kumar is the next legend on the list whose life stories, accomplishments and interesting behind-the-scene facts will be up on television screens across the nation for ardent fans and followers of the popular actor to enjoy!
But before viewers peek into his life on-screen, we have some fascinating information to tell them too so they can gear up for what’s in store for them this time.
During the shooting of the episode, Javed Saab mentioned about the tragedy behind the still-incomplete film ‘Laila Majnu’. The movie which initially started off with Guru Dutt had to unfortunately be called off due to his sudden death. However, to keep the momentum going, K. Asif stepped in the directorial shows for the movie and continued the film with Sanjeev Kumar but it was only a matter of time before the filming was halted again. This was because of the death of the director but the spirit to go on with the movie’s making did not dampen. The late director’s wife continued with the rest of the film and yet again due to the tragic loss of Sanjeev Kumarhimself, the film failed to get completed and was then released just the way it is.
